GOKDOM Scholarship 2019-2020: The directorate of minorities (ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನಾಲಯ) under the Karnataka state government has launched the GOKDOM scholarship that is mainly focused on minorities like Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, etc. The directorate is located in Bangalore and it acts as a nodal agency for all the schemes including the scholarships that are being run the central as well as state government for the welfare of minority community.

GOKDOM Scholarship Overview

GOKDOM committee was formed by the directorate of backward class in 1999-2000 for the upliftment of the social and economic status of people belonging to the minority community. GOKDOM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Since the scholarships are given by minorities directorate, Karnataka government the eligibility for the scholarships is that the students should belong to the minority community and should be a resident of Karnataka state. National Overseas Scholarship for the minority Community Students, Karnataka Your age should not be more than 38 years from the course commencement.
The marks scored in the last degree should be 60%.
The scholarship is applicable only for selective courses.
An incentive for SSLC & 2nd PUC Students, Karnataka You must have passed class 10th or 12th class with 85% marks or above.

Vidyadhan Scholarship 2021-22 | Dates, Application Process, Rewards

Vidyadhan Scholarship 2021-22: The Vidyadhan Scholarship is a scholarship that is provided by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation. It aims to provide financial support to economically weak and meritorious students to pursue higher education. Students are eligible to apply for the scholarship after they complete their class 10 board exams or equivalent. Currently, the scholarship can be availed across 8 states in India.

The states that fall under the Vidyadhan scholarship are Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Pondicherry,  Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. As of 2021, there are over 2800 students being sponsored across states in India. The initial duration of the scholarship is for two years (classes 11 and 12). If the students continue to pursue their studies with meritorious results, the scholarship will be extended to help students pursue a degree course.

Vidyadhan Scholarship 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Students can avail of the Vidyadhan Scholarship provided they satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

  • The annual family income of the students must be under INR 2,00,000.
  • Students should have secured not less than 90% marks or equivalent in class 10/ SSC examination. 75% is the cut-off for candidates with disabilities.

As of November 2021, new applications are currently closed. The application window will reopen after results for class 10 2020 exams are announced. However, based on past trends, the application window will open by June and conclude by the end of July.

Vidyadhan Scholarship Application Procedure

  • Students are required to visit the official homepage at https://www.vidyadhan.org/
  • On the top right, click “Apply for Scholarship”. Vidyadhan Scholarship 2019 Application Form will open.
  • Fill in the relevant details, such as name, date of birth, email ID, etc. The students are also prompted to create a new password for future references and further tracking.
  • Any future communication by the sponsor will be through the email provided at the time of registration.

Vidyadhan Scholarship Selection Procedure

The selection process will initially screen students on the basis of academic performance. Provisionally selected students will have to appear for either an interview or a test. The date and time of the interview will be provided to the students who are shortlisted individually. Moreover, the foundation will reimburse the travel expenses of the student and a parent in certain cases.

WB Scholarship 2021 for OBC, SC, ST | How To Apply, Last Date, Application Form

WB Scholarship 2021-2022: To support meritorious minority students in West Bengal, the government has introduced a scholarship known as West Bengal Scholarship Scheme. Some of the subsidiary departments and premium institutes like the Indian Institute of Management (Kolkata), the Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur), the Institute of Science Education and Research (Kolkata), and the National Institute of Technology (Durgapur) supports and encourages students to get hassle-free education. The Application for WB Scholarship under Aikyashree for minority students is open and the last date to apply is September 15, 2020.

The government provides a number of scholarships to the students like Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Minorities, West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC, Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship, West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC ST Students and Hindi Scholarship Scheme.

WB Scholarship Eligibility

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship for Minorities: This West Bengal merit cum means scholarship is for students studying from Class 11th onwards. The students are selected on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Candidates must have scored at least 75% marks in case studying in Diploma, Higher Secondary or graduation level. In the case of Post-graduation, a candidate must have scored at least 53% (general) or 55% (engineering) marks. The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakhs per annum.

West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC: Students studying in the post – matriculation or post-secondary level can apply to this scholarship. Students who are studying in class 11th, 12th, or graduation/ post-graduation are eligible to get financial assistance. The candidate’s annual family income must be between INR 2 to 2.5 lakhs per annum. For OBC students, the family income must not exceed INR 1 lakh per annum. OBC Scholarship 2021 West Bengal.

Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship: Girl students who are studying in class 12th or are in a graduate program in Medicine/Engineering/Basic Science at any college in the state are eligible to apply.

West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC ST Students: This is a centrally sponsored scholarship scheme for students studying in class 9th and 10th. The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakhs per annum. The candidate must have a compulsory domicile of the state.

Hindi Scholarship Scheme: Students who have passed Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, undergraduate, postgraduate or research level programs are eligible to apply under this WB scholarship scheme. This scholarship is to promote the Hindi language in a Non-Hindi state. The candidate must have passed the previous qualifying examination with at least 60% marks with Hindi as a subject.

Haryana POSE Scholarship

This scholarship was initiated by the Haryana State Council for Science and Technology (HSCST). This scholarship will be awarded to 150 students. Haryana Promotion of Science Education (POSE) scholarship offered to the B.Sc. and M.Sc. students for promoting science education. This scholarship offered to Haryana students who have chosen basic and natural science subjects in the following courses:

Haryana NMMS Scholarship

National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS Scholarship) is a centrally sponsored scholarship. This scholarship offers financial assistance to meritorious students of economically weaker sections. So that they can continue their studies after class 8th. Students pursuing class 8th can apply for this scholarship. Students have to appear in MAT (Mental Ability Test) and the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) test to get selected for this scholarship.

Haryana NTSE Scholarship

Students pursuing class 10th can apply for the NTSE Haryana scholarship. National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) conducted in 2 stages. Students who will clear the Haryana NTSE will have to appear in NTSE stage2 conducted by NCERT. Haryana NTSE conducted on November 2021.

HSCST Fellowship for Ph.D.

The Haryana State Council for Science and Technology (HSCST) offers to Haryana state students. Those who want to pursue a Ph.D. from any recognized university of the state. This scholarship offers research fellowships to students who have chosen CSIR-JRF. But, students must have qualified at least CSIR-LS NET.

Haryana State Merit Scholarship

This is a merit-based scholarship. This scholarship offers financial support to students belonging to economically weaker sections. This scholarship helps students for pursuing studies after class 12th up to the post-graduation level. Students who have taken admission through a competitive exam. The exam should be conducted by the Punjab or Kurukshetra university can apply. Otherwise, students who have taken admission on merit basis can also apply for this scholarship.
