GOKDOM Scholarship 2019-2020: The directorate of minorities (ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನಾಲಯ) under the Karnataka state government has launched the GOKDOM scholarship that is mainly focused on minorities like Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, etc. The directorate is located in Bangalore and it acts as a nodal agency for all the schemes including the scholarships that are being run the central as well as state government for the welfare of minority community.

GOKDOM Scholarship Overview
GOKDOM committee was formed by the directorate of backward class in 1999-2000 for the upliftment of the social and economic status of people belonging to the minority community. GOKDOM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Since the scholarships are given by minorities directorate, Karnataka government the eligibility for the scholarships is that the students should belong to the minority community and should be a resident of Karnataka state. The students that are domicile of Karnataka but studying in some other state can apply. |
Post-Matric Scholarship for the minority community of Karnataka | The students of class 11th to Ph.D. level can apply for this. The marks obtained in the previous examination should be 50% or above. The annual family income should not be more than Rs. 2 Lakh per annum. The students pursuing studies through certificate/training or correspondence courses cannot apply. The students belonging to other states that are studying in Karnataka cannot apply. |
Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship for the minority community, Karnataka | The student must be studying graduation or post-graduation in a technical or professional stream. The marks obtained in the last examination should be more than 50%. The total annual family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 2.5 Lakh per annum. |
National Overseas Scholarship for the minority Community Students, Karnataka | Your age should not be more than 38 years from the course commencement. The marks scored in the last degree should be 60%. The scholarship is applicable only for selective courses. |
An incentive for SSLC & 2nd PUC Students, Karnataka | You must have passed class 10th or 12th class with 85% marks or above. |
M.Phil. and Ph.D. Fellowship for minority Students, Karnataka | The age of the applicant should be less than 35 years. The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs. 6 Lakh per annum. Full-time employees or government employees or are not eligible to apply. |
