TSP Scholarship

TSP Scholarship: TSP scholarship, also called the Talent Support Stipend, is a state government-sponsored program that falls under the purview of the MA and ME Department (Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education). The West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC Scholarship) functions as the nodal officer of the TSP program (Talent Support Program).

This scholarship aims to provide financial support to students belonging to minority communities. The stipend is awarded once per year and enables students to complete or pursue higher education. Moreover, about 30% of the total scholarship has been reserved for female students. Hence, this scholarship not only provides equal opportunities, but it also promotes women empowerment.

In a societal context, education is one of the best tools to reduce illiteracy and poverty. Furthermore, education presents students with many opportunities, some of which may be life-changing. For instance, the only way out of poverty is through a well-paying job. And education provides a supporting pillar to achieve this goal. The TSP scholarship aims to fulfill a similar role, by providing financial support for students from impoverished backgrounds.
