The Sahapedia-UNESCO Fellowship is a collaborative scheme to stimulate fresh research on concrete and immaterial legacy across India and South Asia. The Fellowship is a means to both help analysis on the arts and cultural diversity of India, and to support field practitioners and fresh scholars to distinguish from their views what requires to be documented. Awarded annually, the Fellowship helps people in their work with communities and practices that usually do not get the consideration they deserve.

The Fellowship supports connections between those in the field and those in the academy. Sahapedia organization members and specialists affiliated with us mentor the Fellowship applicants during their research and through the method of editing and correcting their writing and recording. As a result, the project promotes connections between practitioners and researchers and encourages the network of culture knowledge carriers across India.
