He could even get on better than all the rest, if he determined to do so.

तीसरा या अन्तिम दृश्य फिर से मि० लैम के उद्यान में स्थित है। ज्यों ही डैरी मि० लैम के उद्यान में हाँफता हुआ पहुँचता है, वह मि० लैम को सीढ़ी के साथ भूमि पर पड़ा पाता है। डैरी उसे बताता है कि वह वापस लौट आया है। क्योंकि मि० लैम प्रत्युत्तर देने में असफल रहता है, तो डैरी उसके पास घुटनों के बल झुकता है तथा रोने लगता है तथा पर्दा गिर जाता है। नाटक का अन्त अत्यन्त करुणाजनक है।
