CG Scholarship 2019-2020: The Social Welfare Department, Government of Chhattisgarh implemented the Chhattisgarh Scholarship (CG) scheme. This scholarship offers help and grants to students belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, and Minority categories to pursue their studies. Candidates who are pursuing 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th class can apply for this scheme. Also, candidates pursuing postgraduate under Chhattisgarh Government can apply for this scholarship. Chhattisgarh Government initiated this scholarship to improve education. This scholarship aims to offer quality education to lower class candidates.

CG Scholarship helps lower category candidates to achieve their career goals in life. So far, above 87,000 students have received the CG Scholarship of up to Rs. 12.42 crore by the government of Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh scholarship amount has increased around 5-6 times in comparison with the past years. Candidates from pre-matric and post-matric are offered an education grant in every six months under the Shiksha Sahayog Scholarship. However, candidates pursuing professional courses are also receiving scholarships and help from the Government under the Shiksha Protsahan scholarship. CG Scholarship Details: CG Scholarship helps the SC/ST students for pursuing higher studies after class 10th. CG Scholarship reserves 30% percent seats only for girls. The government of Chhattisgarh offers many CG scholarship schemes to deserving students. It helps them to complete their education without financial problems. CG Scholarship – Eligibility Criterions

All the CG scholarship has some constraints and standards linked with them. Candidates must know the detail eligibility criteria before applying for the CG Scholarship. The common eligibility criteria of all CG scholarships is that students must belong to the Chhattisgarh state. Also, students must belong to the citizenship of India. Afterward, the eligibility criteria for each scheme vary from the other one. The following table contains the details of the eligibility criteria of all the CG Scholarships.

Candidates must be either an SC/ ST girl studying in class 3 to 5 or an SC/ ST/ OBC candidate belongs to class 6 to 8.
Candidate’s family income should not come under the income tax.
Unclean Business Scholarship Scheme SC, ST, OBC Candidates must be studying in class 1 to 5.
There are no limitations in family income. It is mandatory for the candidates to provide the family annual income certificate.

The scheme is eligible for some selective occupations, not for a class. So, candidates whose families working in the following occupations are eligible for this scheme:

Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana SC, ST Candidates must be studying in class 5 or above.
Candidate must be a girl to apply for this scheme.
Disabled Scholarship Scheme All Candidate must be a regular student in the school/ college/ technical course.
Candidates must have 40% or above disability.
The candidate’s family income must be less than Rs. 8,000 per month.
DTE Chhattisgarh Scholarship All Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in class 12th.
Candidates should have passed from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institutes.
Chief Minister Gyan Protsahan Initiative Scheme All Candidates must be studying in either class 10 or 12.
Candidate should be a meritorious student in the previous qualification.
Candidates should be studying in Chhattisgarh Secondary Education Board (CGBSE), Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE) or the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

CG Scholarship – Rewards

CG scholarships offer financial support to students who require it to complete their education. The award disbursed to deserving candidates varies for each scholarship. Some scholarships offer financial help in the form of monetary rewards, whereas some offer as a tuition fee waiver. Refer to the table below to know the rewards offered by each CG scholarship.

The eligible SC/ ST girl candidates will get the scholarship amount of Rs. 1000/-. Whereas the boy candidates will get the amount of Rs. 800/- every year.
Post-Matric Scholarship for SC, ST, and OBC students The eligible SC/ ST hostellers will get the scholarship amount of Rs. 3800/-. Whereas non-hostellers will get the amount of Rs. 2250/- every year.
The eligible OBC hostellers of class 11 students will get the amount of Rs. 1000/- and class 12 students will get the amount of Rs. 1100/-.
The eligible OBC non-hostellers of class 11 students will get the amount of Rs. 600/- per annum and class 12 students will get the amount of Rs. 700/- per annum.
Rajya Chatra Vritti Scheme The eligible girl candidates from class 3 to 5 will get the scholarship amount of Rs. 500/- each year.
The eligible SC/ ST girl candidates from class 6 to 8 will get the scholarship amount of Rs. 800/- and boy candidates will get the amount of Rs. 600/- each year.
The eligible OBC girl candidates will get the scholarship amount of Rs. 450/- and boy candidates will get the amount of Rs. 300/- each year.
Unclean Business Scholarship Scheme The eligible candidates will get the scholarship amount of Rs. 1850/- each year.
Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana The eligible girl candidates will get the scholarship amount of Rs. 500/- each year.
Disabled Scholarship Scheme The eligible candidates will get the following scholarship:

Candidates from class 1 to 5 will get the amount of Rs. 150/-
Candidates from class 6 to 8 will get the amount of Rs. 170/-
Candidates from class 9 to 12 will get the amount of Rs. 190/-
