RD Sharma Class 7 Solutions Chapter 25: Data Handling IV (Probability)
A Trial is an action which results in one or several outcomes.
An experiment in which the result of a trial cannot be predicted in advance is called a random experiment.
An event associated to a random experiment is the collection of some outcomes of the experiment.
An event associated with a random experiment is said to happen if any one of the outcomes satisfying the definition of the event is an outcome of the experiment when it is performed.
The empirical probability of happening of an event E is defined as
P(E) = Number of trials in which the event happened / Total number of trials.
