Vidya Samunnathi Scholarship 2021-22 (ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಮುನಾಥಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿವೇತನ 2021-22): Samunnathi Scholarship is an initiative of the Kerala State Welfare Corporation for forwarding Communities Limited (KSWCFC)). The KSWCFC released the notification for the online registration of this scholarship. The KSWCFC introduced this scholarship for students belonging to economically backward sections of forwarding communities. Samunnathi Scholarship 2021

Samunnathi Scholarship can be applied through online mode only. Forward communities students domiciled in Kerala State can only apply for this scholarship. This scholarship helps forward community students of Kerala to complete their higher education. So, all the eligible students from the non-reservation forward community of Kerala can apply. This Scholarship initiated in 2013-14 to offer competitive support to forward community students. Students who are studying professional courses will get special scholarships under this scheme. Professional courses like ICWA/CA/CS and those studying in NIT, IIM, IIT, etc.

The KSWCFC is a government of Kerala undertaking private limited company. It has incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956. The KSWCFC has the motive to promote the development and welfare of economically backward sections within the forward communities of Kerala. Samunnathi Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for Samunnathi Scholarship:

Samunnathi Scholarship Coaching Assistance

  • This scholarship provides financial support to economically backward students from forwarding communities. Those students who are undertaking training for various competitive exams. These are Civil Service/Bank/PSC coaching, Medical/Engineering entrance coaching, etc.
  • An amount of Rs. 10,000 will be granted to 840 students of higher secondary. Also, granted to students who have already completed higher secondary from the past 2 years.
  • These students are eligible to apply for the medical/ engineering coaching assistance scheme.
  • A total of 700 educated people will get an amount of Rs. 6000 as financial aid. Those people should have acquired basic qualifications for the competitive exams of Bank, UPSC, and PSC.
  • Apart from this, the students who are preparing for the Civil Service exams will receive separate financial aid.
  • An amount of Rs. 15,000 will be granted for the Preliminary exams. An amount of Rs. 25,000 will be granted for the Main exams. Whereas an amount of Rs. 30,000 will be granted for the Interview.

Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas

Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas is an OBC scholarship for candidates who wish to pursue a master’s degree or a Ph.D. program in a foreign university. The fields of study range from professional courses such as medicine and engineering to management and agriculture. Annually, 25 scholarships are provided per subject, and 30% of those are alloted to female candidates.

Candidates pursuing their masters are offered a 3-year fellowship while Ph.D. candidates are offered, 4-year fellowship. Additional benefits include visa fee reimbursement, airfare, allowance for local travel and incidence journey allowance.

OBC Scholarship Application Procedure

  • Candidates are required to obtain an application form from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
  • Fill in the required details and attach relevant documents mentioned in the application.
  • Send it back to the Ministry after completing all required processes. Employed candidates are required to send the application form through their employers. Such candidates are also required to attach their tax assessment details and salary slip.

Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected after careful analysis by a selection committee formed by the ministry. Preference will be given to candidates who have already procured admission to a foreign institution.

Merit Scholarship for OBC Students – Delhi

Merit Scholarship for OBC Students is an OBC scholarship available to students pursuing their class 6th to class 12th. The scholarship is also available for students pursuing professional courses such as medicine or engineering. Students pursuing technical courses are awarded a maximum amount of INR 1620 per month and up to INR 4500 per year for other courses.

National Fellowship for OBC

National fellowship for OBC is a scholarship that falls under the purview of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It aims to provide financial assistance to OBC students who wish to pursue advanced degrees and courses. A total of 300 scholarships are available for JRF (Junior Research Fellow) and SRF (Senior Research Fellow). The scheme is applicable to all universities that are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The duration of the scholarship for JRF is two years, however, candidates can continue availing the scholarship as SRF for 3 additional years, provided that the research is progressive.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must belong to the OBC category with documents to support the same
  • Total family income from all sources should not be over INR 6,00,000
  • Must have completed post-graduation
  • Transgender candidates are eligible to apply. Reservation shall be provided as per the norms laid out by the Government of India.

ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) provides 1000 scholarships to candidates from OBC category. The scholarship is applicable for OBC students pursuing their first-year graduate or postgraduate courses. Successful candidates will be awarded an allowance of INR 4,000 per month for the duration of the course.

  • Candidates must be pursuing their 1st year in professional courses such as engineering or medicine.

Post-Matric Scholarship

Post matric scholarship aims to provide financial aid to students from the OBC category and other backward classes to complete post-secondary education. This scholarship is overseen by the State and Union Territories in India. Moreover, students are not tied down to a single state. What this means is, a student belonging to one state, but pursuing a course in another state is still eligible to be awarded a scholarship by the respective authority in the same state. The scholarship award varies on the type of course (day scholar or hosteller).

Eligibility: Primarily eligibility criteria are that students have to be from the OBC category. Other eligibility criteria vary according to the respective state.

First Phase

PACE Scholarship Admission Procedure

  • Selected scholars can register themselves for the specified courses till 24th July 2019 at Vagad Pace Global School. They have to carry original and a copy of
    • Tribal caste certificate
    • Birth certificate
    • 10th mark sheet
    • School leaving certificate (or Transfer certificate)
    • Aadhaar card (if any student doesn’t have it, he/she can apply & submit till 25th Sep 2019).
  • The copies of all the above documents will be submitted by students to Vagad Pace Global School at the time of admission.
  • Pace will also give an extended list of 10 students each for Engineering and Medical who will be given a chance if any selected student doesn’t take admission before 24th July 2019.
  • No fee shall be charged by Iitians Pace/Vagad Pace Global School to any student selected for the program.

PACE Scholarship Direct Admission

PACE has set a percentage criterion for each course. Students scoring 90% or above in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology or rank 1, 2 or 3 in IX final exam or X prelims can get direct admission. Students who qualify for direct admission criteria can also appear for the Ace of Pace Scholarship Exam to avail of a scholarship.

If a student does not fulfill the percentage criterion, he/ she has to appear for the Ace of Pace Scholarship Exam. On the basis of score in the exam, a student is offered admission and scholarship.

IOCL Scholarship for Graduate and Post Graduate

Candidates who do not achieve the qualifications will not be able to start. Under this program, students seeking MBBS, Technology and MBA from prestigious institutes are given the Scholarship.

IOCL Scholarship for Engineering, MBA and MBBS

  • Engineering & MBBS Course: Bonafide Students are eligible to apply for (regular/full-time) engineering and medical courses. In order to be eligible for the Scholarship, students must be enrolled in the first year of such programs (minimum duration of 4 years).
  • MBA Course: Anyone taking the MBA course must ensure that they conform with the specified program of qualification as set out in the guidelines. Candidates enrolled in the first year of this 2-year MBA program will be eligible to apply for the Scholarship.

IOCL Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

On the basis of average marks of all subjects, the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying test shall be determined. Regarding students, the number of marks received for all academic years of graduation shall be based on the maximum sum of marks of all subjects.

For placement, the marks obtained in the qualifying exam rendering the students qualified to pursue admission will be considered in the respective first year of these courses. The following table shows the minimum eligibility percentage of marks required for students of different categories:

Age Limit: the minimum and maximum age for the 2021 IOCL Scholarship is 15 years and 20 years respectively. It can be increased by 3 years for candidates from OBC, 5 years for candidates from ST/SC and 10 years for candidates from Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).

Annual Income: The applicant must be a member of a family whose annual income does not surpass Rs 1,00,000. In the case of a tie, it will be referred to as a family whose annual income is closer to Rs. 60,000. Income certification should be obtained from the State/UT/Central Government’s relevant civil authorities whose particulars are stated under the heading’ Candidate Paper Submission. Any affidavit presented as proof of income will not be approved.

Terms and Guidelines for IOCL Scholarship

On some of the basic guidelines, the applicants applying electronically for the above-mentioned scholarships would earn the award. Go through them from the following points:

  • Recruitment Process: Candidates eligible for the Scholarship will be needed to provide the Stream and the path they are currently pursuing and are registered in an accepted college. The selection committee will take into account the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination for granting the Scholarship. The marks obtained by the candidate for admission to the current first year of the course.
    For all academic years of graduation, the percentage of marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying exam will be calculated on the total aggregate marks of all the subjects. The standardization technique will be introduced in order to rationalize the variability of the marks received by various boards and universities.
  • Income: The gross income of the candidates’ families who qualified for the scholarship program should not surpass Rs. 1,00,000. The income certification must be provided by the relevant State / UT / Central Governments civil authorities whose specifics will be stated in the guidelines issued by the authorities. Any affidavit provided as proof of income shall not be accepted and shall not be deemed valid.
  • Candidate’s Age Limit: As per the rules, a definite age limit for candidates applying for the scholarship has been established. The limit must be at least 15 years old and not more than 30 years old. The age limit calculation will be as per the candidate’s class.
  • Reservation: For the candidates from the reserved categories, 49.5 percent of the scholarships will be reserved. Only those mentioned in the OBC database of Central Governments will be included in the OBC class. OBC candidates will have to submit against the general category under the state list but not listed in the Central Government list. The IndianOil Scholarship Program will also provide quotas for the girl students and the individual with disabilities.
  • Bonus Prize: A lump sum pay reward of Rs 10,000 will be awarded to those applicants who will be able to acquire a Top 10 in 10 and Top 3 in the Merit List Graduate-Post Graduate program.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for RGNF

  • The candidate should have passed the postgraduate examination.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Selection Process

The Selections for RGNF made on the basis of merit and as per the procedures of the Commission. The Commission scrutinizes and selects the received applications. The final selection depends on the decision of the Commission. The Commission has the right to withdraw/cancel the award without conveying any reason.

After these formalities, the candidates Joining Report will be duly signed by the supervisor/head of the department. Then, it will be sent to the UGC through the Registrar/ Director/ Principal. The first-year admissible grant releases on receipt of the Joining Report and other required documents. Otherwise, the concerned university will be informed to release the grant.

This grant releases from the funds which have sanctioned for this purpose by the Commission. Thereon, the fellows may get the amount from the institutions/bank after getting the UGC approval/award letter. Also, other expenses from the grants paid by the Commission in conformity with the rules. The payment of the fellowships will be transferred directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Terms and Conditions

  • The duration of the RGNF scheme is initially two years.
  • The work of the Fellow will be evaluated by a Committee of three members before the completion of this duration. These three committee members are the Head of the Department, Supervisor and one external subject expert. These members are to be constituted by the concerned Department/ University/ College.
  • The tenure will be extended further based on the research work satisfaction. If the work is satisfactory, then tenure will be extended for 3 more years.
  • The tenure will be extended under the enhanced emoluments of the Rajiv Gandhi National Senior Research Fellowship (RGNSRF).
  • The recommendation of the Committee for upgrading the level of RGNSRF will be submitted to the UGC.
  • The work status and the time spent on fellowships of any agency other than the UGC will not be accepted. The fellowship information from UGC only considers improving the value of fellowship.
  • The fellowship may be withdrawn in case of dissatisfaction with the work. Also, if the candidate fails in any of the examinations related to Ph.D.
  • In case the work for the first two years is not satisfied, an extra year will be given to a candidate for improvement.
  • In this duration, the candidate will be designated as Rajiv Gandhi National Junior Research Fellow (RGNJRF).
  • Again the work will be evaluated after completion of 2nd year of the tenure.
  • If found any improvement, then the Fellow will get two more years under the RGNSRF.
  • So, the total period of fellowship (RGNJRF and RGNSRF) is for five years, with no more provision of extension.
