Under what conditions does a convex lens produce a magnified image? What is the difference between the images produced in such cases?

A convex lens produces magnified image when an object is placed

    i. between optical centre (0) and focus (F1), ii. between 2F1 and F1 and iii. at F1

When object is placed between 0 and F1, a virtual and erect image is formed, whereas in the later two cases real and inverted image is formed.
